Competition
Prepare how you compete
Competing is something you learn too: preparing, making informed decisions and reviewing what happened. These educational guidelines do not include professional support.
01
Before the match
Check the format and rules that apply to the event. Choose a playing intention within your control and discuss responsibilities and communication with your partner.
02
During the match
Observe which opponent responses recur. Adjust one specific decision and check its effect, without changing your whole plan based on a single rally.
03
Between points
Use a short reference to return to the next action: position, margin or an agreement with your partner. Separate the previous result from the decision you need to make now.
04
Afterwards
Separate results from learning. Record what worked, a situation to work on and an unanswered question. Connect that review to your next development cycle.
